How did this book come about?
As the creator of the PlayStation and Xbox Button Mapping pad I’ve always made notes when playing games. I would draw out a crude resemblance of a PlayStation controller and mark down what each button did. I didn’t want to keep pausing the game to check in those first few weeks of playing.
As I got involved in the game, further button combinations would be unlocked. I would write those down too. And some games have so many unlockable combinations and actions I didn’t want to keep pausing my game to check in the menu.
I always want to get the most out of my games. They cost a lot of money now! If I can make notes about what I find in large sandbox maps that I need to remember later in the game I will. I don’t wish to consult YouTube. I want to complete the game the best I can on my own terms. With my notes I can, and it all helps it to be extra fun and especially if you are a trophy hunter!
